Being a thoughtful grant maker

The Hymans Robertson Foundation is proud to be a member of both IVAR (the Institute for Voluntary Action Research) and SCVO (the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations). Through our involvement with IVAR, we benefit from research, resources and a collaborative network that supports best practice in grant making and the wider charity sector across the UK. As a member of SCVO, we engage with Scotland’s vibrant voluntary sector, both through attendance at the Gathering (its annual voluntary sector event), and through access to Governance and professional development resources. These memberships reinforce our commitment to being a thoughtful, well-informed grant maker and an active participant in the voluntary sector community.
