Applicants were asked to submit one-page proposals for a maximum of £1,000 in unrestricted grant funding by 10 January.
The Foundation has now reviewed all applications received by the deadline and has made six grant offers to charities in Scotland and London. Our grant funding will support projects and activities assisting vulnerable and under-represented women, children and family charities, as well as a Glasgow-based Men’s Shed. All our new Community Fund grant holders will be asked, in April 2025, to provide a short impact report on the difference the funding has made to their organisation and the people they support.
In spring 2025, we will review the Community Fund and make any changes (based on feedback) to the eligibility criteria. We are likely to have a new funding round open in early summer 2025.
Thanks to our network for ensuring that the Fund was highlighted to smaller non-profits across the UK.
We’re exploring how we can support more financially vulnerable young people through a UK-wide bursary approach. If you’d like to hear more - and explore how you could help expand this support - we’d love to talk.
