Rise joined the Board in April 2023 in their first role as a co-optee board member.
Rise is a Barnardo’s Young Person ambassador, and champions the voice of young people, working alongside Foundation colleagues to ensure that we continue to deliver services which have impact and support young people to secure a strong financial future.
Rise was an online advocate for young people's mental health from early 2020 to 2022 before stepping away from direct social media, and now focuses on applying their personal experience with UK’s mental health services to break down barriers and dismiss misinformation. Rise actively encourages others to be the voice they wished they saw online and now offers one-one support.

Hymans Robertson is the Foundation’s only major funder, and every year donates 2% of its budgeted pre-tax management accounting profits to the Foundation. Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people and communities in the UK.
