Stephen McIlwraith

Stephen is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and brings a breadth of experience to the Board from his role at Hymans Robertson. In his day-to-day role, Stephen has a strong focus on governance and helps Trustee boards to make decisions which provide positive outcomes for pension scheme members. This is a skill-set Stephen plans to utilise to help maximise the positive outcomes the Foundation can have on young people.
Stephen currently serves as a Trustee for a small community-based charity in Ayrshire. Through this roll he has developed an in-depth understanding of the challenges facing charities and young people as well as understanding the positive outcomes that charity trustees can have a direct impact on.
Outside of work, Stephen is actively involved in his local musical society, where he performs in annual productions.

Hymans Robertson is the Foundation’s only major funder, and every year donates 2% of its budgeted pre-tax management accounting profits to the Foundation. Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people and communities in the UK.
